About the project

The MEDIATE project is organized in six interrelated subprojects:

  1. MEDIATE database construction (Hulsbosch)
  2. French private library auctions and early Enlightenment networks (Blom)
  3. Dutch printed private library catalogues and auction practices (Jagersma)
  4. English printed private library catalogues in a transnational context (Reboul)
  5. Italian (Jewish) private library catalogues and cultural mediators (Chayes)
  6. Jewish books and Jewish-owned private libraries in the Dutch Republic (De Wilde)
  7. Synthesis: Toward a new history of "the" Enlightenment (Montoya)
